Thanks to Policaptil Gel Retard®, Libramed acts at intestinal level by forming a highly viscous gel which helps to control the postprandial glycaemic spike, reducing the quantity and speed of carbohydrate absorption (delaying effect).
This also leads to a reduction in hunger and postprandial drowsiness. In addition, using the same mechanism, Policaptil Gel Retard® limits fat absorption, promoting intestinal transit and regulating the consistency of the stool.
When combined with a balanced diet, adequate fluid intake and regular physical activity, Libramed is indicated for weight control in adults and children from 8 years of age thanks to its mechanism of action.
For those who have problems swallowing, direct ingestion of the tablets is not recommended; in this instance, the tablets should be dissolved before taking. It is advised to consume the product at least two hours after taking any medications, to prevent any possible effect on the absorption of these.
Do not take during pregnancy or when breastfeeding.
If you are taking medication for diabetes and hyperlipidaemia, seek medical advice before taking the product in order to determine whether any change in medication dosage is required. Do not use in the event of any hypersensitivity or individual allergy to one or more of the ingredients. Store at room temperature, away from heat sources and protected from light. Keep out of reach of children. The expiry date refers to the undamaged and correctly stored product.
The product cannot replace a varied diet. Follow a low-calorie diet and engage in regular physical activity. For prolonged diets lasting more than three weeks, please seek medical advice.
