Grintuss Pediatric syrup is a medical device composed of Poliresin® – a plant-based complex – and Honey that acts both during the dry cough phase, counteracting inflammation of the mucosa, and during the mucus phase, promoting hydration and removal of mucus from the upper airways.Its formula does not contain artificial substances and its ingredients are biodegradable and organically grown.Is indicated for the treatment of both dry and chesty coughs in children from 1 year of age.It is indicated for both coughs in the acute phase and for persistent coughs.Grintuss exerts a protective, soothing and anti-inflammatory physiological action on the upper respiratory tract through the following mechanisms of action:
- BarrierForms a protective film on the mucosa and protects it from contact with irritants.
- AntioxidantReduces free radicals generated by inflammation of the mucosa.
- MucoregulatoryHelps to hydrate the mucus of the upper airways, thereby making it less viscous and easier to clear.
- LubricatingReduces friction between the epiglottis and pharynx while coughing, thereby counteracting the vicious cycle that contributes to inflammation.
- HydratingHelps to preserve the integrity and functionality of the mucosa.
One level teaspoon of the product is recommended for children from 1 to 6 years of age and two level teaspoons from 6 years onwards, two to four times a day, taking the last dose before bed.Shake well before use.After use, close the bottle tightly and wash the teaspoon thoroughly.The product can also be taken for extended periods. However, if symptoms have not resolved after 14 days of treatment, it is also advisable to seek medical advice.
