Canesten Clotrimazole Anti-fungal Topical Solution is an effective anti-fungal liquid solution, ideal for fungal infections of hairy areas and Candidal nail margins.
It contains a broad-spectrum anti-fungal agent with activity against the dermatophytes and yeasts that are associated with fungal infections.
Indications:
– Treatment of fungal infections of the foot.
– Treatment of fungal skin infections.
– Treatment of erythema (bacterial skin infections).
Contraindications:
– Hypersensitivity to any of the components present in the formulation.
Pregnancy and breastfeedingCanesten should not be used during the first trimester of pregnancy.
Canesten should not beused during breastfeeding, or if you are going to use Canesten you should stop breastfeeding the baby.
Possible side effects:
– hypersensitivity reactions with different intensity in different areas of the skin;
– pain, erythema, swelling, irritation, redness, rash, burning sensation in the application area.

Canesten is indicated only for topical use.
Apply the solution 2 or 3 times a day, to the affected area with a light massage.
The solution should be applied on dry, clean skin.
Recurrence of infection can be prevented if the solution is used according to the following instructions:
- For pitiriasis versicolor, apply the solution for 1-3 weeks.
- For erythema, apply the solution for 2-4 weeks.
- For skin infections that appear in the thigh or other parts of the body, apply the solution for 2-4 weeks.
If there is no improvement after 4 weeks of treatment consult your doctor.
