Econazole EG cream 1%

This medication contains an antifungal (active against fungi) from the imidazole family.
This medication is recommended for the treatment or adjunctive treatment of certain mycoses (skin conditions caused by fungi).
Never use ECONAZOLE EG 1%, cream:
· if you are allergic to econazole nitrate or to any of the other ingredients of this medication.
Pregnancy, lactation and fertilityGiven the limited but possible systemic passage after topical application and clinical hindsight, the use of econazole cream is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, without the advice from your doctor.
Do not apply to the breasts while breastfeeding.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or plan to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Common side effects (1 to 10 users in 100) are:
– itching ;
– a burning sensation;
– pain at the application site.
