Flonidan 10 mg (loratadine)

Flonidan contains as active ingredient loratadine, which belongs to a class of drugs known as antihistamines.
Flonidan is used to relieve and prevent:
-symptoms caused during allergic rhinitis;
-symptoms caused by allergic inflammation of the conjunctiva of the eye, accompanied by watering, itching, redness and swelling;
-symptoms of urticaria and other allergic skin reactions.
Do not use Flonidan:
-If you are allergic to loratadine or any of the other ingredients present in the formulation.
Talk to your doctor before using Flonidan if:
-you have impaired liver or kidney function;
-your condition after using Flonidan does not improve or worsen.
Patients who will undergo skin tests should discontinue using Flonidan at least two days before each procedure.
Pregnancy and breastfeedingThe safety of loratadine during pregnancy has not been established, therefore the use of Flonidan is not recommended during pregnancy.
Loratadine is excreted (eliminated) in breast milk, therefore the use of Flonidan during breastfeeding is not recommended.
Like all medicines, Flonidan has side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Among the most common side effects we mention:
-drowsiness;
-insomnia;
-headache;
-nervousness;
-tiredness.
