Lioton Gel (heparine natrium)

The active ingredient of Lioton gel is heparin (in the form of sodium heparin).
Heparin is a natural ingredient, which is best known for its effect on the blood clotting cascade.
Heparin has anti-coagulant, anti-inflammatory and anti-edema properties.
Lioton gel is available in the form of a gel which is applied to the skin.
Lioton Gel is used for:
– The treatment of symptoms of superficial venous diseases (eg those characteristic of varicose veins and their complications:
development of blood clots in veins affected with or without inflammation of the vein wall;
inflammation of the tissues around the vein and ulcers that develop on the skin over the area of ​​varicose veins).
– The treatment of inflammation of the damaged vein wall, after surgical operations.
– The relief of symptoms after venous surgery (eg bruising and swelling).
– The relief of swelling and bruising of joints and muscles due to trauma and sprains.
Lioton can be used only as a topical treatment, or in combination with systemic therapies.
Lioton Gel effectively reduces the symptoms of superficial venous diseases such as:
– Heavy legs.
– Painful feet.
– Redness and swelling of the feet.
The optimal gel formula provides a cooling sensation at the site of pain.
Do not use Lioton gel if you are allergic to heparin or any of the other ingredients present in the formulation.
As there is still limited data on the effect of Lioton gel in children, it is recommended not to use it in children.
Lioton Gel should not be applied to bleeding or open wounds, mucous membranes or infected areas.
