Description

Andorex contains chlorhexidine gluconate which is an anti-microbial (destroying and stopping the reproduction of germs), and benzydamine HCI which is classified as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, used in treatment of pain and inflammation and also shows local anesthetic effect when applied on the surface (providing insensitivity on the applied area).
Andorex is used:
– for inflammation in the mouth and throat mucosa, gingivitis, stomatitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis and aphthous in the mouth.
– In prevention of inflammatory microbial diseases in mouth and throat, relieving the swallowing function of the patient and elimination the symptoms in periodontal disease.
– Before and after the operations in the tissues surrounding the teeth,- In the treatment of inflammation of the oral cavity (mucositis) due to radiation therapy and cancer drug treatment or other causes,- It is used to prevent the layer (dental plaque) formed by bacteria and food debris around the teeth.
Do not use Andorex:
– If you have hypersensitivity to benzydamine and chlorhexidine or any of the other ingredients of this formulation.
– If you are pregnant or breast feeding.
PregnancyConsult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
If you are pregnant, do not use Andorex.
If you notice your pregnancy during the treatment, consult your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
Breast FeedingConsult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
If you are breast feeding, do not use Andorex.
Like all medicines, side effects may appear in individuals who are sensitive to the substances contained in Andorex.
If any of the following side effects, discontinue Andorex, immediately inform your doctor and admit to the emergency service of the closest hospital:
– Suddenly developing shortness of breath, skin rash, swelling on face and/or tongue;
– Hypersensitivity reactions;
– Allergic reaction.
These are very serious side effects.
If you have any of these, you have a severe level of allergy for AndorexX.
You may need emergency medical intervention or hospitalization.
All of these serious side effects are very rare.
If you notice any of the following, immediately inform your doctor and admit to the emergency service of the closest hospital:
– Skin reactions due to irritation;
– Rash in the mouth;
– Throat irritation and cough;
– Growing of salivary gland.
This is an OTC medicine, so it can be taken without a doctor’s recommendation.

Usage

Adult dose for Andorex is 15 ml.
It is administered with 1.
5-3-hour intervals throughout the day.
Andorex is used to rinse mouth and gargle.
Andorex is used undiluted.
It is kept in the mouth for at least 30 seconds.
Chlorhexidine contained in the Andorex reduces plaque and gingivitis during the course of the treatment.
If Andorex is used as an alternative to other oral cleaning applications, the mouth should be rinsed with Andorex for at least 1 minute.
In order to minimize coloration caused by chlorhexidine in Andorex it is advised to brush your teeth before administration.
Various age groups:
Use in children (12-year old and over):
Gargle for 30 seconds every 1.
5-3 hours with 5-15 ml Andorex.
It should not be continuously used for more than 7 days.
The gargle should be diluted with water in case of burning and stinging sensation.
Due to the absence of sufficient number of clinical studies the use of Andorex is not recommended for children under 12 years old.
