\nLovol-esse Duo contains polyethylene glycol 3350, an inert substance that is not absorbed by the intestine, does not irritate the mucosa, does not ferment, and is excreted unchanged from the digestive tract.<\/p>\n
Polyethylene glycol 3350 attracts a large amount of water, which softens the fecal mass by stimulating natural intestinal peristalsis.
\nFurthermore, the formulation contains simethicone, thanks to its antifoaming action, which is effective in absorbing gastrointestinal gas associated with constipation.<\/p>\n
Lovol-esse Duo should not be administered in cases of:
\n– known hypersensitivity to the product’s components;
\n– intestinal stenosis or obstruction;
\n– dynamic ileus;
\n– acute or severe colitis;
\n– toxic megacolon;
\n– intestinal perforation;
\n– gastric stasis;
\n– chronic inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease;
\n– patients weighing less than 20 kg or under 2 years of age.
\nThere are no reports of use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Therefore, it is recommended to use Lovol-esse Duo only after consulting your doctor.
\nThe product may reduce the time spent in the intestine and therefore the absorption of concomitantly administered oral medications. Therefore, avoid taking them together: after taking a medication, wait at least 2 hours before taking Lovol-esse Duo.
\nIf you are taking anticoagulants, antiplatelet drugs, or diabetes medications, consult your doctor or the Endoscopy Center for any dosage changes.
\nThe oral suspension must be prepared just before use. If not taken immediately, the solution should be refrigerated and used within 24 hours of preparation.<\/p>\n
Do not add other ingredients to the reconstituted solution.
\nSimethicone may interfere with the effect of some diagnostic reagents, such as guaiac gum.
\nGastrointestinal disturbances, borborygmi, abdominal pain, and nausea may occur before bowel movements. If these symptoms become severe, the product should be taken more slowly, which will reduce the symptoms. Hypersensitivity reactions occur rarely.
