Helmintox belongs to the family of medicines called anthelmintics.
\n Anthelmintics are used in the treatment of worm infections.
\nHelmintox is used to treat pinworms (enterobiasis;
\n oxyuriasis).
\nHelmintox may also be used for other worm infections as determined by your doctor.
\nHelmintox works by paralyzing the worms.
\n They are then passed in the stool.
\nPregnancy and breastfeedingDuring pregnancy, this medication will only be used when it is really needed.
\n If during treatment with pyrantel you find out that you are pregnant, consult your doctor immediately as only he can decide if the treatment should be continued or should be discontinued.
\nAvoid the use of helmintox during breastfeeding.
\nIf you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines (including medicines obtained without a prescription), tell your doctor or pharmacist.
\nHelmintox should not be used in patients who may be allergic to the active ingredient or excipients present in the formulation.
