Antarene Gel 5% (ibuprofen)

Antarène 5% gel is a local action medicine based on the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug ibuprofen.
Antarène is indicated, in adults over 15 years of age, for short-term local treatment of mild trauma (benign sprain, bruises) and tendonitis (inflammation of the tendons).
Contraindications- From the 6th month of pregnancy,- in the event of a history of allergy to this medicine or a related medicine (other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, aspirin),- a history of allergy to one of the excipients, damaged skin, whatever the lesion (oozing lesions, eczema, infected lesion, burn or wound).
– Antarène 5% gel should not be applied to the mucous membranes, neither to the eyes nor to an extended surface of the body and the appearance of a skin rash after application of the gel requires immediate cessation of treatment.
This medicine can be prescribed to you until the 5th month by your doctor, but from the 6th month of pregnancy, the latter is contraindicated.
Antarène 5% gel is therefore not recommended in case of pregnancy and requires medical advice.
You should also know that if breastfeeding, ibuprofen passes into breast milk, Antarene 5% is therefore not recommended during breastfeeding.
