The active substance is clotrimazole, an imidazole derivate with a range of antifungal activity.
Mycotreat 1% cream is used to treat dermatomycoses (fungal skin infections) caused by dermatophytes, fungi, yeasts and moulds (ringworm, athlete’s foot), fungal hands infections, fungal skin infections and inguinal skinfolds infections, pityriasis versicolor, fungal nappy rash and fungal sweat rash.
It occurs when sweat ducts are blocked and swollen, and often results in discomfort and itching (erythrasma).
It is also used to treat fungal infections of the vulva (external thrush /candidal vulvitis) and glans and foreskin of the penis (candidal balanitis).
Do not use Mycotreat cream 1%:
- in case of hypersensitivity to clotrimazole or any other ingredient of this formula;
- for the treatment of nails or scalp formula.
Pregnancy and breastfeedingAlthough there are no controlled clinical studies on pregnant and nursing women, epidemiological investigations does not give any indications that adverse effects can be expected on the mother or the child if used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Never the less it should not be used before consultation with your doctor.
Possible side effectsAllergic reactions (faint, low blood pressure, breathing problems, rash).
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders (blisters, discomfort, pain, sweeling, irritation, peeling of skin, itching, rash, burning, sticking).

Apply a thin layer of Mycotreat 1% cream and run in on the infected areas 2-3 times per day.
For areas about the size of the hand usually a small amount is needed.
The symptoms usually disappera after 1-4 weeks (depends on the type of the infection that you have).
You can prevent disease relapse if you continuethe treatment for 2 more weeks after the subjective symptoms dissapear.
If there is no improvement after 4 weeks of treatment inform your doctor.
