Enterofuryl 100 mg (nifuroxazide)

Enterofuryl is an intestinal disinfectant.
It can be used as an adjunct to rehydration in adults and children over 6 years of age, for the treatment of acute diarrhea caused by an intestinal infection.
Do not use Enterofuryl:
-If you are allergic to nitrofuran derivatives or other ingredients present in this formulation.
-in children under 6 years old.
It is not recommended to use Enterofuryl concomitantly with drugs used against alcohol abuse or CNS inhibitors.
Pregnancy and breastfeedingIt is recommended to avoid using this medication during pregnancy.
It can be used in breastfeeding mothers only when advised by a doctor and when the treatment is for a very short time.
Possible side effects:
-skin reactions, itching, urticaria;
-sudden swelling in the face or neck, which causes difficulty in breathing and which can be life threatening;
-tiredness, lack of strength, drop in blood pressure.
