Ibudol 400 mg (ibuprofen)

Ibudol is presented as an oral suspension to be taken directly from the sachet or dissolved in water.
Ibuprofen, the active ingredient in this medicine, works by reducing pain and fever.
It is indicated in adults and adolescents from 12 years of age and weighing more than 40 Kg for the symptomatic relief of occasional mild or moderate pain, such as headaches, dental, menstrual, muscular (contractures) or back pain (lumbago, as well as in feverish states.
Do not take Ibudol:
-If you are allergic to ibuprofen, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), aspirin or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Reactions indicating allergy could be:
itchy rash, swelling of the face, lips or tongue, runny nose, difficulty breathing or asthma.
-If you have severe liver or kidney disease.
-If you have had an ulcer or bleeding in the stomach or duodenum or have suffered a perforation of the digestive system.
-If you vomit blood.
-If you have black stools or bloody diarrhea.
-If you suffer from bleeding or blood clotting disorders, or are taking anticoagulants (medicines used to “thinize” the blood).
If it is necessary to use anticoagulant medications at the same time, the doctor will perform tests for blood coagulation.
-If you have severe heart failure.
-If you are in the third trimester of pregnancy.
Pregnancy, lactation and fertilityIf you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine.
Due to the fact that the administration of this medication has been associated with an increased risk of suffering congenital anomalies/miscarriages, its administration is not recommended during the first and second trimesters of pregnancy unless it is considered strictly necessary.
In these cases the dose and duration will be limited to the minimum possible.
In the third trimester administration is contraindicated.
For patients of childbearing age, it should be noted that drugs of this type have been associated with a decreased ability to conceive.
Although drug levels in breast milk are negligible, it is recommended to consult a doctor in long-term treatments or with high doses during lactation.
